Houston Texans general manager Rick Smith has made it clear that they’ll continue to target week one of a regular season for safety Ed Reed’s return to the field after missing the entire offseason after undergoing hip surgery.
“(Reed’s) rehab is going well,” Smith said, via NFL.com. “The thing that is important, and we’re focused on, is to make sure he’s there Week 1 when we start playing for real.”
I wouldn’t expect Reed to be the “Ed Reed’ that we’re used to seeing when he gets back on the field. He’ll have plenty of rust to shake off.
