We mentioned earlier today that Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome plans on sitting down with safety Ed Reed to discuss his future.
Newsome also made it clear that he’s not ready to give up on signing Reed.
“I think he realizes there may be some other options out there, but I think if you watched him, if you watched his body language over the course of the last eight to 10 days that he loves being here in Baltimore,” Newsome said Thursday. “And I think we can use that to help make that relationship last a little bit longer.”
If Reed returns to the Ravens, it won’t be under the franchise tag since Newsome has indicated they won’t use it on him.
With the Ravens’ cap situation, I have no idea how they’re going to keep Reed.
